Planning your unique painting begins well before your wedding day. Meet with the artist to share your love story, your styles, personalities, and determine which loved ones you want featured in your wedding painting. Wedding packages include engagement photography during an in-person meet and greet with the artist during the artist engagement session. This photography will be used for announcing the upcoming wedding on social media as well as creating a custom piece of engagement art that you may use for save-the-dates and display at the wedding.
During your artist visit you will explore painting ideas for composition, painting location, and what moment you want to feature in your wedding painting. If you want to add live guest sketches to your live wedding painting package, your canvas will probably show a moment from the ceremony. For those wanting the live painting of the canvas to get all the artist’s attention throughout the evening, you may also choose a moment from the wedding reception such as first dance! All the details will be considered and squared away with the artist prior to the actual event.
Painting Process
On the day of your wedding, Heather Griffin will arrive early to begin painting the background area of the canvas. She will set up her composition, match colors to the real life ambiance of your day, and photograph the key features of the ceremony/reception. [Photos will allow her to revisit all the fine details after the original moment has passed.]
Live painting will continue throughout the ceremony and reception. Paintings are typically refined and professionally photographed in the studio, after the event– unless a destination wedding calls for extra time to finalize on location. Wedding packages which feature both a wedding canvas and live guest sketches will include a much larger amount of time for detailing the canvas in the studio.
Watercolor sketch paintings are rendered quickly with light pencil, pen and watercolor on paper.

Even your wedding already passed, it is not too late to commission your own wedding painting! This is a fantastic option for anniversary gifts or spontaneous events only captured in snapshots which you want to honor with art and do more justice to the memory. Art Delivery
Local art pickup in Rowlett and Dallas Texas is free! The painting will be refined and professionally photographed or scanned after the event. Timeline of completion for wedding paintings will vary depending on the medium used, hours spent painting on location, and the amount of time available in the artist’s studio schedule. Wedding packages that include guest sketches will require more studio time. For destination weddings, artwork may be finished on location to avoid shipping expenses.
Booking
To secure the date of your event, half of the package total is due as a nonrefundable deposit. Remainder is due 3 weeks prior to your event. Custom party packages also available which combine live event art, art gift commissions, photography, and/or design of event graphics or custom illustrative invitations!
