Good evening, good audience! It has been long week — or should I say fast and furious? Now I’m glad to settle into the weekend with my daily drawing.
Tonight I bring you a sketch of my friend and former co-worker, Sarah. She modeled for me a couple of years ago, and below is one of the shots I got during our shoot. Tonight I toyed with combining graphite and charcoal but just to experiment– her face was my emphasis so I was fairly ambivalent of her hair. It was not my intention to give her a bob, but that’s kind of interesting. I’m not satisfied with my rendering of her eyes, in relation to the reference photo. I’ll have to concentrate more on eye directions in upcoming sketches. Tonight, however, I need to concentrate on not concentrating– and instead resting my eyes. Have a great weekend, folks!
